Prestations

Four ways of working on a text, between Latvian, French, English and Spanish. All are quoted in writing before anything starts.

01

Document translation

A text that reads as though it had been written in its target language.

Translation of documents and written content between Latvian, French, English and Spanish. Contracts, correspondence, websites, commercial material, technical documentation.

  • Full translation of the document you send
  • Original formatting preserved
  • A proofreading pass before delivery, every time
  • Glossary of the terms chosen, on request
02

Revision and proofreading

Your translation already exists. It needs a second pair of eyes.

The translation is compared against the source text, the language and style are corrected and the register is made consistent. What you receive is ready to publish.

  • Spelling, grammar and syntax corrected
  • Meaning checked against the source text
  • Register and tone made consistent throughout
  • Changes tracked or applied silently, your choice
03

Terminology consistency

The same term, translated the same way, from beginning to end.

A check of terminological consistency and fidelity to the source, across one document or a set of them. Essential the moment a text has passed through more than one pair of hands.

  • List of terms translated more than one way
  • Fidelity check against the source text
  • Reference glossary you can reuse afterwards
  • Report of the discrepancies found
04

Quality assessment

Knowing what a translation is worth before you publish it.

Assessment and correction of translated documents, including work produced by machine translation or by a third party. You receive a reasoned opinion, not only a corrected file.

  • Quality assessment, with examples to support it
  • Correction of errors of meaning and of language
  • Passages that need retranslating, flagged
  • A written recommendation: publish, correct or start again

Per-word rates in euros and in Swedish kronor (fixed amounts, not conversions), indicative: the price depends on how technical the text is, the file format, and the deadline. Minimum invoice: €30 / SEK 340 per order. VAT not applicable, Article 293 B of the French General Tax Code. The firm price is the one in the written quotation, in the currency you chose.

Combinaisons

Paires de langues

Speciality

Letton ↔ Français

My mother tongue and the language I live in. The rarest of these combinations, and the one I work in most.

Letton ↔ Anglais

Company documents, correspondence and content written for an international readership.

Français ↔ Anglais

The pair I am asked for most: contracts, websites, commercial material and documentation.

Espagnol ↔ Français

Written translation and revision between Spanish and French.

Espagnol ↔ Anglais

Commercial and editorial content between Spanish and English.

Letton ↔ Espagnol

Available on request, usually for shorter documents.

Ce que je ne fais pas

No spoken interpreting, and no sworn translation: that can only be produced by a translator listed as an expert with a Court of Appeal. If your document has to be presented to a préfecture, a court, a consulate or a university, check with them first whether they require it.
